Free software could infect your computer with programs that show a lot of ads, or with programs that consume your computer’s resources. Not all the free software out there is safe. Is all the free music production software free? No. But for now, you can start spending no money. At some point, when you have more experience, you will feel the need to try a new application. But if you are starting or have few experience, a free software would work just as great. Getting the best of the best is super cool. Ask me! I have the same Cubase version I got 5 years ago!
